The Ver. 1.2.0 update for Fashion Dreamer will improve the speed of reaction notifications.

In the current version of the game, if there’s a lot of Muses in your Eve, you might find yourself with a seemingly endless stream of Like notifications. That’s why in this update, the developers slightly sped up the speed of reaction notifications!

The Ver. 1.2.0 update for Fashion Dreamer will add some handy improvements: a zoom function when using Lookit or changing clothes and a more lightweight thumbnail display.

About the zoom function: you can press the L stick to zoom on the clothing items you have currently selected. That way, you can get a better look at it!

Marvelous has given us a look at some of the contents to expect in the free updates coming in December and January:

  • December: Fantasy Fair (running until January 5th), a Muse Notebook, more clothing items, and more
  • January: more clothing items, events, and more

Also, the latest One Point Advice posts provide a few more tips for new players:

  • Online Mode can be played even if you don’t have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. That way, you can share your love of fashion with other players in this loosely connected online world, regardless of language or region, without having to worry about paying for it!
  • Moving from the Salon area to the Pop-up Area and then to the Main Area can be quite the hassle after a while. If you don’t feel like walking around, you can press the R stick to go to the map screen and move to a different area (or even a different Cocoon) right away!
  • When playing in Online Mode, players from all around the world connect to the same server as you. That means that Muses from those players will appear in your Eve, and your Muses will appear in theirs!
  • When playing in Online Mode, the developers made sure that the only element players can input themselves is their username (there’s no chat or similar communication feature). That way, even children and players who are not comfortable playing online can enjoy a safe and positive environment. The only way to interact with other players is through fashion by showcasing your outfits and giving people Likes!
  • When you take your first steps in the virtual world, Eve, you immediately have access to a selection of furniture for you to use in your Showroom. That way, you can start showcasing your favourite outfits right from the get go, without having to worry about finding furniture first. And speaking of the Showroom, here’s a little secret: while inside it, you can also move the camera horizontally. Pretty handy when you want to take a picture!
  • On the My World screen, you can see the Muses you are following, as well as those you’ve met recently. From that screen, you can request a Lookit (you can make one request every 3 minutes)
  • Complimenting fellow Muses isn’t just about distributing Likes like candy. You can also compliment them on various things and in various situations. For example, you can press ZR to either give a Like or a Thanks from the following: Items, EveLog, Lookit, Outfit, Showroom.
  • Fashion Dreamer features over 1000 different colour palettes. Those are pretty handy, as they allow you to easily decide on colours for your clothing items. You can get different colour palette depending on the colours used in Lookit, so make sure to try out different colour schemes!
  • When playing in Online Mode, the trick is to Like items from other players’ brands as much as possible. And don’t forget about Lookit! Even if it’s not exactly what the player wants, focus on giving them a look you think will suit them, and they will be satisfied!
  • If you want to check out just how popular your brand is, you can do so from your Porfile. The number displayed there goes up every time someone likes one of your clothing items. However, do note that brand popularity does not have any special effects, but it doesn’t hurt to check it out every once in a while!
  • If you keep posting the same kind of outfits and pictures on your EveLog, you’re bound to get fewer and fewer Likes. Why not take a picture with a really trendy Muse and find new ways to gain more Likes?

Fashion Dreamer (Switch) is now available worldwide.
