FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time Nintendo Switch 2 Edition gets physical release in Japan
After releasing on Nintendo Switch back in May, FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time was one of the games that launched alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 back on June 5th. Unfortunately, it was a digital-only release worldwide, no doubt due to the short time between announcement and release (this version was announced less than a month before release, and its launch date revealed the week before release!).
But here’s some good news for players looking to get a physical copy of the game for their brand new console: FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is getting a physical release in Japan. It will launch on August 7th to be precise, and cost 7,978 Yen (same as digital version).
Here’s what the boxart looks like:
Just like on Nintendo Switch, this physical version will only release in Japan. However, seeing that the game does support English (and various other languages), import is definitely an option for fans outside Japan who really want to snatch up a physical copy of FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time!
Also, unlike most other third-party releases on Nintendo Switch 2, FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will ship on an actual card (no Game Key Card or Download Code shenanigans!). And like other Nintendo Switch 2 Edition releases, this one will have both Nintendo Switch game + Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade on the card, and will be playable on the original Nintendo Switch console (though obviously, with the graphics and performance of that console).
Level-5 also made a few announcements today:
- a new update is coming later this month, and will add Photo Mode
- the game has now sold 1.2 million units worldwide (retail shipments in Japan + digital sales worldwide). A special illustration was shared to celebrate!
- a new Gift Code was shared: check out this page for more details!
FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (Switch 2) comes out at retail on August 7th in Japan.
