[Europe] My Nintendo: launch discounts for Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalyse, 7th Dragon III
Earlier this year, Nintendo did something pretty interesting with CHASE: Cold Case Investigations ~ Distant Memories ~. They added a special reward which, when claimed, would give you 20% off the game at launch. And it looks like it was not a one-time affair only, as two similar rewards have been added to My Nintendo in Europe.
The rewards are for Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse and 7th Dragon III code:VFD, which both come out on December 2nd. With those rewards, you can get 10% off each game at launch. Said discounts will then be available until December 15th.
It’s more expensive than the reward for CHASE: Cold Case Investigations ~ Distant Memories ~ (50 Gold Coins instead of 20 Gold Coins), and the discount isn’t as great (10% instead of 20%), but the games themselves are more expensive: 39.99€ (as opposed to 5.99€).
With this reward, you end up saving 4€, which means that Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse and 7th Dragon III code:VFD will only cost 35.99€ (instead of 39.99€). Not the best of discounts (especially since they cost 50 Gold Coins each), but at least, there’s a (significant) improvement.
