Etrian Odyssey V: website update (Titles), Warlock trailer, more

Etrian Odyssey VToday, Atlus updated the official website for Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth (Sekaiju no Meikyuu V: Nagaki Shinwa no Hate in Japanese). The company uploaded two more videos (including the trailer for the Warlock class), and revealed some details about a feature called “Two Titles”.

Warlock

Here’s what we wrote about the Warlock a couple of weeks ago:

They stay in the back row during battles. They use an ancient magic and fire/ice/lightning attributes during battle.

  • Fireball: hits the target with a fireball, but also other enemies nearby;
  • High-Speed Casting: allows you to cast skills without using a turn. Unfortunately, it also increases the amount of TP required to use skills;
  • Casting: Compression Art: when cast, your next magic skill will only hit one enemy, but it will become much more powerful as a result.

Titles

In Etrian Odyssey V, you will be able to chose a Title (called Name in the game) for your characters, once they become a Master. But before they can become one, you first need to meet certain conditions. You can chose among two different Titles, which come with their own perks and bonuses, but also their own Master Skill. In other words, you will need to think carefully about which Title to pick.

For example, the Warlock class has the following titles:

  • Phantom Swordsman: focuses on evasion;
  • Thunderclap Swordsman: focuses on combos.

Head after the break for the rest of this post!
