Etrian Odyssey V: website update (Reaper and Necromancer videos, more)

Etrian Odyssey VToday, Atlus updated the official website for Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth (Sekaiju no Meikyuu V: Nagaki Shinwa no Hate in Japanese). The company uploaded two more videos: the trailer for the Reaper and the Necromancer classes. There’s some details about class change and Aoielis.

Reaper

Here’s what we wrote about the Reaper class a few days ago:

  • Reaper: they fight in the front row, and specialise in taking advantage of enemy weaknesses… by inflicting them in the first place. They use a rather menacing scythe in battle, and thanks to a mysterious power called “miasma”, they weaken enemies.

Here’s some of their skills:

  • Miasma Armament: the user cloak themselves in miasma, and get in a fighting stance. You can stay in that state for three turns, but it also consumes your own HP.
  • Jugon Sickle: hits the enemy with a single slash attack at close range. If you used Miasma Armament, you also get fixed chance of inflicting a curse on the enemy.
  • Soul Gathering: allows the users to draw the miasma from surrounding monsters. Increases encounter rate, but also the amount of XP received for a short while (based on a fixed amount of steps).

You can find details about their Titles and Master Skills in this post!

Head after the break for the rest of this post!

Necromancer

Here’s what we wrote about the Necromancer class a few days ago:

  • Necromancer: summoners who are more versatile than they may seem at first glance. They can summon the dead, but also use a wide variety of support, attack, and defense skills.

Here’s some of their skills:

  • Spirit Summon: the user sacrifices some of their own HP to summon a spirit. You can also do it while exploring the dungeon, not necessarily while in battle.
  • Life Compensation: the user sacrifices one of their summoned spirits to get some HP back for all team members.
  • Fire Bomb: create a bomb from a spirit, hitting all enemies with a long-range flame attack.

You can find details about their Titles and Master Skills in this post!
