eShop news (Sept. 16) – Corpse Party confirmed for Europe / Chase (ex-CiNG) dated

Today’s Nintendo eShop news: Corpse Party confirmed for Europe, but also…

  • CHASE: Cold Case Investigations – Distant Memories

Corpse Party

Back in April, XSEED announced that Corpse Party would be released in North America this Summer, and was supposed to get a retail release (a Limited Edition). But since Summer ends next week, it’s pretty clear the game was delayed, and we don’t really know when it will be released.

That being said, it looks like we should be getting a proper announcement pretty soon. In Europe, a listing on the Nintendo eShop indicates that the game will be released on October 26th. It will cost 29.99€ / £24.99.

Now wait a minute… the game hasn’t even been confirmed for Europe yet?! Well, it has now, though we should be getting a proper announcement from Marvelous Europe soon. As for North America, it’s probably safe to assume the game will be released on time for Halloween, so October 24th should be the date for that region.

Of course, this is not confirmed at all for now, but as mentioned above, we should be getting an announcement within the next couple of days/weeks.

Thanks Nintendo Hall for the heads up, and Joe Merrick for the screencap!

CHASE: Cold Case Investigations – Distant Memories

-Chase- Mikaiketsu Jiken Sousaka ~Tooi Kioku~ was released back in May in Japan (on Nintendo 3DS, via the Nintendo eShop), where it was published by Arc System Works. It’s an adventure game developed by some former developers from CiNG, including Taisuke Kanasaki (Director), who worked on Another Code, Hotel Dusk and Last Window.

Back in July, Aksys Games announced they were localising the game, which is called CHASE: Cold Case Investigations – Distant Memories in English. And today, they announced that it would be released on October 13th on the Nintendo eShop, and would cost $5.99/5.99€ (and mos likely £5.49).
