Road Redemption

Yesterday, Tripwire Interactive announced that they were bringing EQ-Games and Pixel Dash Studios’ Road Redemption (a multiplayer, roguelike, action combat racer) to the Nintendo Switch.

Here’s all you need to know about it:

Road Redemption finds players leading a biker gang on an epic journey across the United States in a driving combat road rage adventure. Earn money by completing races, assassinations, robberies, and other challenges. As you collect loot, players will be able to upgrade their character, bike, and weapons to build up the ultimate road warrior. Complete with a huge single-player campaign, dozens of weapons, full 4-player co-op split-screen, and online multiplayer, Road Redemption marks a return to those halcyon days of brutal, arcade-style, action racing.

  • Online Multiplayer
  • Brutal weapons
  • Deep motorcycle combat system complete with grabs, kicks, counters, critical strikes, and more
  • Rooftop racing and non-stop emergent action

Road Redemption (Switch – eShop) comes out this Fall in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!

It’s been a while since Ghostlight has released anything on consoles (since 2013, to be precise), but yesterday, it was announced they would make their comeback soon… and on Nintendo Switch to boot!

What are they bringing to the console? We don’t know yet. All we know is that Ghostlight are now official Nintendo Switch developers, which means they can now bring “fantastic Japanese games to Nintendo Switch” (alongside their PC releases). They’ve already started on their first game, which is a port of a JRPG.

You can find more details about Ghostlight over at their official blog!

The Jackbox Party Pack 5

Yesterday, Jackbox Games finally revealed the 5th game in The Jackbox Party Pack 5: Zeeple Dome!

Ky Dolo, Humans! Welcome to the ZEEPLE DOME.

Sector 492b1 invites Earth to journey beyond the stars and become contestants on the newest game show in the Crab Nebula! Get ready to unnecessarily risk life and limb for a chance to win money and fabulous prizes! You and your space crew will be armed with our physics-flinging Goopal Technology and will need to frantically work together to crush wave after wave of bloodthirsty alien monstrosities before they rip you to shreds!

Wait… You’ve never heard of Goopal Technology?! Oh Earth…  such a bunch of glurbs! Goopal Technology serves two very important functions when fighting alien gladiators. It allows you to:

  1. Fling yourself through the air at bone-shattering speeds
  2. Explode in a ball of fiery carnage

“But wait!? Won’t that hurt?”

Of course! This is the Zeeple Dome! We have over 600 words for “pain” on our planet and zero for mercy.

The Jackbox Party Pack 5 (Switch – eShop) comes out this Fall in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!
