• Patch notes:

• Added voices to some of the dialogue when talking to Yotaro on the porch, and when meeting the tiger on the porch during the day
• Along with the addition of  “約束ノ頁” to Night Owl, added corresponding Diary, recipies, cooking, picture book items, and conversations. Also, added a tab for “約束ノ頁” to the UI of the Night Owl screen
• After clearing the main story, the Night Owl button will now appear after searching for monsters every night
• After clearing the main story, you can purchase Night Owl every night, regardless of the season
• Some picture book and recipe descriptions were inconsistent, and so the wording has been standardised. No changes were made to their efficiency or effects

  • Monsters are easier to defeat
  • The items, experience, and money you get is the same as in Normal difficulty
  • You can change the difficulty level at any time from the Settings
• New mini-map
  • You can now move directly to each location from the porch, the field, the kitchen, your room, or the Dry-Goods Dealer
• Added an option to quickly put an end to conversation you’ve already read
• Added the second conversation from the post-game stories (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter pages) to the Diary
• Added an indicator showing the progress of “Cultivation Proficiency” on the seed select screen in the field
• Added a “Harvest Everything!” icon on the screen where you adjust the amount of time to spend in the field
  • When all vegetables in the field are ready to be harvested, the icon will display
• You can now obtain the recipes from the Night Owl stories even if you first play it from the Diary

• Patch notes:

• Added the half-anniversary commemorative short story, “朝寝坊の日 (Oversleeping Day)”
  • You can replay it by selecting the Diary and selecting “朝寝坊の日 (Oversleeping Day)”
  • Not voiced.
  • This is a post-game story. Be mindful of spoilers.
• Added a pause function to the playback function of the Diary
• Pressing ‘End’ during playback will stop it and return you to the story selection screen
• The clothes you wear while replaying the “夜更かし (Night Owl)” stories will change to match the time of day
• Pressing the B button in the main screen, in the kitchen, or in your field will move the cursor to “Go outside”

How to download updates for Engawa Danshi to Kemono Tan for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Engawa Danshi to Kemono Tan, you have three options:

• let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

• try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

• select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
