Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen – Japanese release announced, retail versions detailed

Yesterday, Capcom announced a “new” game for the Nintendo Switch: Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, which is releasing on April 23rd in Europe and North America. Nothing was announced for Japan at first, but it was obviously a matter of hours until Capcom made an announcement for that region. And said announcement came this morning: Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be released on April 25th in Japan, two days after Europe and North America.

In Japan, the game is not only releasing at retail, it’s also getting several editions:

Standalone

  • Price: 3 990 Yen + taxes at retail, 3 694 Yen + taxes on the Nintendo eShop

Collector’s Package

  • Price: 4 990 Yen + taxes
  • Contents:
    • physical copy of the game
    • soundtrack CD (Re:Compose Mini SoundTrack, with 5 tracks)

Complete Edition

  • Price: 29 926 Yen + taxes
  • Contents:
    • physical copy of the game
    • soundtrack CD (Re:Compose Mini SoundTrack, with 5 tracks)
    • U-TREASURE silver necklace

If previous retail releases from Capcom are any indication, the Japanese version will include the same languages as in Europe and North America (including Japanese and English), so if there’s no retail release in your region, import will be an option (especially if you want one of the special editions).
