Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete – Veronica, Senya, and Homura Village

We already talked about Veronica and Senya in this post, but the official website (updated on Monday) has some additional details.

We learn that Veronica can increase the power of specialty spells by using two-handed staffs. She can also hit groups of enemies at once using her whip.

Here’s some the spells/skills she can use:

  • Kafrizz (Spell): a fire attack
  • Berserk Magic Circle (Special Skill, Two-Handed Staff)
  • Extreme Dragon Strike (Special Skill, Whip)

As for Senya, by equipping a stick, you can further enhance her ability to protect her allies. If you’d rather have be on the offensive, the spear is the weapon you need to have her hold.

Here’s some of the spells/skills she can use:

  • Multiheal (Spell)
  • Kaswoosh (Spell)
  • Flash Strike (Special Skill, Spear)
  • Holy Light (Special Skill, Stick)

Finally, we have Homura Village, which is located at the foot of Hinonogi volcano, with a shrine maiden at its head. Japanese-style buildings can be found there, including hotsprings, and a shrine (where the shrine maiden lives). This village thrives in iron manufacture (with plenty of blacksmit workshops) and smithing.

Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete – Silvia and Samadhi Kingdom

As a traveling entertainer, Silvia gets to live a freewheeling life. He has a dream: make people around the world dream with his performances. Ever cheerful and positive, he is THE mood maker in the party, and he has the magnificent poses to match. He’s a pretty versatile character in battle, with attacks, support, and recovery. The weapons he can equip are:

  • one-handed swords
  • whips
  • daggers

Here’s the spells and skills he can use:

  • Oomph (Spell): raises the attack power of an ally;
  • Hustle Dance (Skill): restore HP to all party members through a lively dance;
  • Miracle Sword (Skill, one-handed sword): allows you to deal damage and recover HP at the same time;
  • Whip of Love (Skill, whip): deals lots of damage to several enemies at once;
  • Viper Fang (Skill, dagger): targets only one enemy, but sometimes poisons them.

Finally, some details about the Samadhi Kingdom, located in the middle of the desert (that it’s being reigning over for many generations). It’s said to value its chivalry pretty highly, which is why it’s no wonder the young prince himself is rumoured to be an outstanding knight. And remember the horse races mentioned a few days ago? Well, it’s in the Samadhi Kingdom that they take place.
