Dragon Quest XI: latest batch of details and pics (Delcadar characters), footage

Yesterday, Square-Enix updated the official website for Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete, sharing some details about the major characters you will meet in Delcadar (the biggest town on the continent the game takes place in).

Here’s the three characters introduced:

  • Delcadar King, known as the “Rare Emperor”. Not content with being the wisest king in Lotozetasia, he is also a master swordsman. The reason he’s called the “Rare Emperor” is because he has all the qualities of a king… which is not something that happens very often, it seems! He may be a pretty generous man, if order comes to be disturbed, he will address it with austerity and strictness. He happens to know the protagonist pretty well.
  • Greig, known as the “Great General”. His swordsmanship is without peer, and he stands undefeated to this very day (despite facing monsters hundreds of times in the past). He is willing to risk in life in order to defend his lord, for whom he has a strong loyalty (which is why his orders always take priority over prety much everything else). A statue of him can be found in one of the towns: it was built in honor of his military prowess.
  • Homer, known as the “Cold-Blooded Strategist”. A skilled strategist. He once destroyed a large army monsters with nothing but a skeleton force, which is but one of his many achievements. His judgements are always accurate. He can use powerful magic to defeat enemies on the battlefield.

Finally, here’s the latest batch of screenshots and artworks:

As a bonus, here’s a HQ version of the gameplay footage recordings from last week’s livestream:
