Koichi Sugiyama is the composer of the Dragon Quest series, and he’s worked on the soundtrack of pretty much every (notable) entry. He’s one of the legendary video game composers… and now the holder of a world record.
Yesterday, it was announced that Koichi Sugiyama was now officially the oldest video game composer in the world, aged 85 (85 years and 292 days, to be more precise!). Born in 1931, he made his debut in 1958, and hasn’t stopped composing since then… In fact, at this very moment, he’s working on the soundtrack of Dragon Quest XI (releasing next year on NX and Nintendo 3DS).
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past comes out in less than two weeks, which means it’s time for another commercial. Here’s the Nintendo UK shared on Twitter earlier today:
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past (3DS) comes out on September 16th in Europe and North America. In North America, you can get a free Nintendo 3DS Theme by pre-ordering the game via the Nintendo eShop or Nintendo’s website. In Europe, you can get the Nintendo 3DS Theme by buying the game from the Nintendo eShop at launch!
