Dragon Ball Z – Extreme Butouden: new assist characters and screenshots

Today, Bandai-Namco has revealed some new details and screenshots for its upcoming Dragon Ball Z 2D fighting game: Dragon Ball Z – Extreme Butouden.

Extreme ButoudenLet’s start with Chi-Chi, who is an assist character. She can’t fight on her own, but she can come shout at her husband during battles… she’s quite the fierce woman!

Bulma is another assist character, and she can use a gun to fight. It’s apparently powerful enough to keep Napp at bay while Vegeta is charging up (as you can see on one of the screenshots below). But that’s not all: the Great Saiyaman, Videl, and the Ginyu Force are some the other assist characters players can count on during their battles in Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden.

Here’s the new batch of screenshots for the game:

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS) comes out on July 11th in Japan.
