P&D Super Mario Bros. Edition: details and screens for Mario’s power-ups

Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition provides the usual Puzzle & Dragons gameplay, but with a Super Mario twist like power-ups. Today, GungHo has revealed some new info and screenshots for those, and more precisely Mario’s (as Luigi also has his own power-ups, with different effects).

Some of Mario’s power-ups include:

– Small Mario:
a) Mario Spin: a skill that can be used after 10 turns. Allows you to increase the attack of your allies by 1.2 for 3 turns.
b) Mario Combo: a Leader skill that slightly increase your party’s attack when you get more than 2 combos.

– Super Mario:
a) Super Jump: a skill than can be used after 12 turns. Allows you to increase by 1.5 the attack of light-type allies.
b) Super Power: a Leader skill that increase your party’s attack when you get 3 or more combos.

– Ice Mario:
a) Ice Ball: a skill than can be used after 12 turns. Allows you to increase by 1.5 the attack of water-type allies.
b) Ice Power: a Leader skill that increase the attack and healing by 1.5 for water-type allies.

– Tanuki Mario:
a) Tanuki Attack: a skill than can be used after 12 turns. Allows you to increase by 1.5 the attack of wood-type allies.b) Tanuki Power: a Leader skill that increase the attack and healing by 1.5 for wood-type allies.

– Boo Mario:
a) Ghost Attack: a skill than turn all balls into fire, wood and water balls.
b) Ghost Power: a Leader skill that increase the attack of allies by 2.5 when you’re attacking with 3 or more elements.

– Fire Mario:
a) Fire Ball: a skill than can be used after 12 turns. Allows you to increase by 1.5 the attack of fire-type allies.
b) Fire Power: a Leader skill that increase the attack and healing by 1.5 for fire-type allies.

– Penguin Mario:
a) Diving: a skill that allows you to change light-type balls into water-type balls.
b) Ice Dance: a Leader skill that increase the attack and healing by 2 for water-type allies.

Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition (3DS) comes out on April 29th in Japan, on May 22nd in North America and later this year in Europe. In the west, it will be included in a bundle with Puzzle & Dragons Z.
