Today, Nintendo introduced another character you meeting during your journey: Shirisse (voiced by Ayaka Asai). She’s Lucas’ younger sister; a rather tomboyish and fearless girl, with a gentle heart. She’s always worried about her brother, who keeps doing unreasonable things.
Many different tribes (other than humans) live on the continent where the game takes place, and she’s from one of them: Forestia, whose members happen to live… that’s right, in the forest. She lives in a pretty peaceful place (a forest located near the capital), but one day, she’s attacked by a monster. Fortunately, the protagonist ends up saving her!
That stupid brother of mine! Does he have any idea how worried I’ve been?!
Here’s a voice clip for Shirisse:

Today, Nintendo introduced another character you meeting during your journey: Haal (voiced by KENN). He may be the captain of the Guards, his frivolous attitude and words make it pretty hard to trust him. He has a strong rivalry with Leif, the head of the Order of the Knights. Haal is referred to as the Black Raven Knight, and is known for being quite the cunning individual. He has also pledged loyalty to the Royal Family.
This is great! It’s like I’ve already won! Well, well… Let’s head straight to the finish line, shall we?
Here’s a voice clip for Haal:

Today, Nintendo started sharing details about character you meet during the journey. The first one is Leif (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai), who is at the head of the Order of the Knights, and known as the “White Swallow Knight”. He’s also the protagonist’s counselor, and a mentor when it comes to the sword. He has pledged absolute loyalty to the Royal Family, and he’s said to be a honest individual with strong integrity: a true role model for the entire Order of the Knights.
I pledge my loyalty to the Royal Family of the Alberia Kingdom. No matter the circumstances, I will protect the Royal Family. Here I come, Leif, the White Swallow Knight!
To the surprise of no one, Leif has the full confidence of the Royal Family. His love for the Kingdom is really strong.
Here’s a voice clip for Leif:

Today, Nintendo shared some more details about the Royal Family of the Alberia Kingdom. This time, the focus is on Emure (Prince, 6th in line for succession) and ??? (Prince, 5th in line for succession).
Emure is quite the spiteful and stubborn individual, who only trusts his guts. He’s always at odds with the protagonist. Finally, the last Prince (5th in line for succession) is a complete mystery, and the only member of the Royal Family we know nothing about. Nobody outside the Royal Family knows a single thing about him.

Today, Nintendo shared some more details about the Royal Family of the Alberia Kingdom. This time, the focus is on Farues (Prince, 2nd in line for succession) and Varx (Prince, 4th in line for succession).
Farues is a court alchemist, who is also doing research on Dragons and ancient empires. He’s always striving to further deepen his knowledge. In other words, he’s an intellectual… the complete opposite of Varx, who was born a warrior. He has strong leadership, that he uses to lead the Kingdom’s armies. He’s doing his utmost to protect both the Kingdom and the people.

Today, Nintendo shared some more details about the Royal Family of the Alberia Kingdom. This time, the focus is Leonid (Prince, 1st in line for succession) and Shess (Princess, 3rd in line for succession).
Leonid is the 1st in line for succession, and the ruler of the Fire City of Barkaheim. He clearly does not hide his ambitions of becoming the next King. As for Shess, she’s the 3rd in line for succession, and the ruler of the Light City of Chanzelia. She’s also rumoured to aim at becoming Queen, which is why the battle for succession is only expected to intensify.

Today, Nintendo shared some more details about the Royal Family of the Alberia Kingdom.
This time, the focus is on the protagonist (a prince and the 7th in line for succession) and Zethia, who happen to be twins. The former has not entered into a covenant with a Dragon, but he has won the heart of the people, and even the King believes he has strong potential. As for Zethia, she’s well-known as a Maiden of the Illian Church, and the people have deep respect for her.

Today, Nintendo shared some details about the Royal Family of the Alberia Kingdom, who reigns over South Glastia. The King is called Arohras, and he’s the father of the protagonist. He has no less than 8 children, who all have the right to succeed him to the throne… with one exception: Zethia, who gave up on her rights to become a maiden of the Illian Church.
They may all have been born in the same Royal Family, the various princes and princesses all have their own (completely different) ideals. Here’s their names (from left to right, and top to bottom):
- Leonid (1st in line), Arohras (King), Farues (2nd in line)
- Shess (third in line), Protagonist (7th in line), Varx (4th in line)
- ??? (5th in line), Zethia, Emure (6th in line)

Today, Nintendo shared some more details about the world of Dragalia Lost. This time, the focus is on the Dragon’s Blood, which is the name given to the royal bloodline whose members can enter into a covenant with a Dragon. In ancient times, when a human being and a dragon fought for the very first time, their bond was passed down into their very blood.
Since then, that blood has been handed down from generation to generation within a very small group of people. King Alberius drew hiw own blood so that the bloodline could continue, and this has continued all the way to the current King, Arohras.
The thing is, you cannot perform “Dragonization” (transforming into a Dragon) just by drawing the Dragon’s Blood. Members of the Royal Family first have to find a Dragon, defeat it, and enter into a convenant with it. The ceremony is called “Ritual of Dragon Selection”. It’s only when that ceremony has been completed that you can transform into a Dragon.
The King of the Alberia Kingdom, as well as the 7 princes and princess, are Chosen Ones, who have entered into a convenant with their own Dragon (with the the exception of the protagonist, see July 2nd entry for more details)!

Today, Nintendo shared some more details about the world of Dragalia Lost. In the Alberia Kindom, the major cities are all protected by rare artifacts known as “Holy Fragments”. The magic power of those very fragments protect the people from monsters. But one day, the Holy Fragments start losing their power, and if new ones aren’t found to replace them, the Kingdom could end up in grave danger.
Only a member of the Royal Family who has entered into a convenant with a Dragon can touch the Holy Fragments. Since his elder brothers cannot leave the city, it’s the protagonist (7th in line for succession) who ends up going on a journey in order to find new Holy Fragments. But there’s a problem: since he’s not interested in the squabbles related to succession, he is yet to enter into a covenant with a Dragon.
Therefore, in order to accomplish his mission, he first has to find a Dragon and enter into a convenant with them.

Today, Nintendo began sharing some details about the world. This time, the focus is on the Alberia Kingdom, the county where the protagonist lives. The Kingdom was founded by King Alberius, who was the first to enter into a convenant with a Dragon 300 years ago, acquiring the power of dragons in the process. Since then, his descendants have ruled over the Kingdom.
Members of the Royal Family have the ability to enter into a covenant with a Dragon, and obtain the ability to transform into one. They also earn the right to the throne that way.
In the Kingdom of Alberia, many Dragons can be found, and they all have their own characteristics. Each one is said to be tied to be a specific natural phenomenon, and is revered by humans. Dragons fully accept that devotion, sometimes going as far as protecting humans (from natural disasters, among other things). In other words, the Kingdom of Alberia is a country where humans and Dragons co-exist in harmony.

Today, Nintendo introduced a brand new character: Lucas (voiced by Shintaro Asanuma). Just like Clau, he’s from Forestia. He’s really loves his hometown. He’s the kind of person who acts first, and think later. He has a refreshing personality, without any prejudice. Since he loves to cause mischief, he often gets punched by his sister, but despite that he’s pretty attached to her.
Here’s a voice sample for Lucas:

Today, Nintendo introduced a brand new character: Clau (voiced by Yumi Uchiyama). A young girl from Forestia, who has been protecting a castle with a “barrier” of mist for hundred of years. She’s now loonging for a new lord to come live there. She rarely shows her emotions. She’s quite the expert when it comes to… housework.
Here’s a voice sample for Clau:

Today, Nintendo introduced a brand new character: Ranzarve (voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi). A skilled mercenary whose appearance and way of speaking give the wrong impression to people who meet him. He’s actually a pretty rigtheous person. He also happens to love parties.

Today, Nintendo introduced another character: Elphyllis (voiced by Hayami Saori). She’s a Female Knight of the Illian Church, and an extremely gifted one to boot: she was given the rank of “Holy Knight” at a young age. For some reason, she ended up suspected of betraying the Church, and she’s now on the run. She may have the personality of a winner, she secretly has the same hobbies as a regular young girl.
Here’s a voice sample for Elphyllis:

Today, Nintendo introduced yet another character: Nhaam (voiced by Yukana). A strange little fairy that the protagonist and Xethia encountered when they were but children. Today, Nintendo introduced another character: Zethia (voiced by Ai Kayano). She’s the twin sister of the protagonist (that she cares deeply about), and a shrine maiden of the Illian Church. As a kid, she was a real crybaby, but this all changed following the death of their mother, when she became much more poised.
Here’s a voice sample for Zethia:
June 11th
Today, Nintendo introduced not another Dragon, but the protagonist (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama). Referred to as “Eudiel” on the official website. A member of the Alberian Royal Family, and the 7th in line for the succession. He has a twin sister called Xethia, who happens to be the female protagonist. He’s also friend with a fairy called Nhaam.
He has a strong and bright personality, always with a smile on his face. He’s a pretty courageous fellow, always kind to the people.
Here’s a voice sample for Eudiel:

Today, Nintendo introduced a 5th Dragon: Zodiark (voiced by Norio Wakamoto). A Dark Dragon who has brought several dynasties to ruin, leading his name to become legend in the southern Glastia continent. Over the years, the hate of the people for him has just kept on growing, causing his flesh to start rotting away. Their hate for him is so strong, it’s even started eating away his very bones. He inspires fear and awe in people.
Here’s a voice sample for Zodiark:

Today, Nintendo introduced a 4th Dragon: Jupiter (voiced by Minami Takayama). The Light Dragon, who rules over the World of Thunderclouds. It’s said to be quite the enjoyable fellow, often acting on a whim.
Here’s a voice sample for Jupiter:

Today, Nintendo introduced a third Dragon: Brunhild (voiced by Aya Endou). A scarlet Dragon who lives in the Adra Volcano. The people are afraid to incur her wrath, as her temper is said to be as hot as magma itself. In fact, it is believed that eruptions of the Adra Volcano are caused by her mana rising.
Here’s a voice sample for Brunhild:

Today, Nintendo intoduced a second Dragon: Mercury (voiced by Kikuko Inoue), who watches over Saint Lotus, the Water City. It’s been living near waters since ancient times, watching over the people. At first, it was a completely aquatic Dragon (with fins and all), but one day, it decided to live among humans, and used magic to grow four legs and walk on the earth.
Here’s a voice sample for Mercury:

Today, Nintendo introduced a first Dragon: Midgards Ormr (a wind Dragon, voiced by Yamadera Kouichi). A magnificent Dragon who lives in the Forest of Mist, located in a faraway land. It’s the very first Dragon the Founder King Alberius met, and it supported him using its vast knowledge. It’s said to be a rather strict, but fair, dragon. It’s also known as the Lord of Storms, who can manipulate the very weather.
Here’s a voice sample for Midgards Ormr:
By the way, Nintendo specifies that more Dragons will be revealed in the future, so stay tuned for more details! Make sure to keep an eye out on the list of confirmed characters and Dragons.
Dragalia Lost (Android / iOS) will be released this Summer in Japan (and several other countries), and at a later date in Europe and North America.
