Denpa Ningen no RPG Free!: over 2.4 million downloads, new update

Last week, Genius Sonority announced that Denpa Ningen no RPG Free! would get another major update tomorrow, on November 4th. In the trailer detailing the changes/additions, they reveal that the game has been downloaded over 2.4 million times, which is an increase of 200 000 units in almost 4 months (2.2 million in July).

As for the update, it will bring the game to Ver. 1.9. Here’s a quick list of changes/additions:

• new Main Stages (Level 16 to 20), which come with some Extra Stage for players looking for a challenge;
• 8th generation of Denpa Men: they can now be raised up to Level 350, and there’s a new type of antenna;
• new elements: Neutral and Evil;
• new types of monsters (who can accompany you in the dugeons): Marine and Insect;
• monsters can now level up when you bring them with you in the dungeons;
• various changes and fixes meant to improve the gameplay experience.
• following the update, Genius Sonority will distribute special items once a day until November 10th.

The update will be available on Wednesday at:

• Japan: 10AM
• Europe: 2AM
• UK: 1AM
• North America (ET): 8PM (November 3rd)
• North America (PT): 5PM (November 3rd)

To download the update, you have several options:

• you can select the game from the Home Menu (while being connected to the internet), in order to trigger the download;
• you can search for Denpa Ningen no RPG Free! on the Japanese Nintendo eShop;
• you can use the option on the Nintendo eShop Settings page.

But before the update, online services (Wi-fi Coliseum, check-in) will be down for maintenance from:

• Japan: November 4th (12AM to 11AM)
• Europe: November 3rd (4PM) to November 4th (3AM)
• UK: November 3rd (3PM) to November 4th (2AM)
• North America (ET): November 3rd (10AM to 9PM)
• North America (PT): November 3rd (7AM to 6PM)

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Genius Sonority has any plans to release Denpa Ningen no RPG Free! outside Japan any time soon (if at all…).
