Wii repairs

Last week, Nintendo announced that they would end the repairs service for the Wii in Japan on March 31st, due to a lack of necessary components. But following that announcement, Nintendo received a number of repair requests that far exceeded their expectations, and completely ran out of said components. As a results, the repairs service was termined yesterday (February 6th), nearly two months before the announced date.

In other words, starting today, if you want to get your Wii repaired in Japan, you have no other choice than to go with a third-party repair service.
