Nintendo Switch (Japan)

Nintendo Switch shortages are back in full force in Japan. Nintendo have announced that this week, there will be no shipments of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons bundle and the Nintendo Switch Lite outside of pre-orders (via lotteries) at retailers. In other words, you won’t be able to simply walk in a store and find a unit to buy; quantities will be extremely limited. Next week, Nintendo will share their shipping schedule, allowing us to see what to expect for shipments in the coming weeks in Japan.

Masahiro Sakurai

Masahiro Sakurai has announced that he’s now switching to remote work, in light of the Covid-19 pandemic (with various parts of Japan declaring a state of emergency, and the governement urging people to stay home). In other words, he’s now supervising the development of the DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate from home, which is definitely going to be easy as this is a project that requires the utmost secrecy to avoid leaks!
