Daily and Indie News (Nov. 10): Runner3 / Diddy Kong Racing Adventure

Today’s Daily Briefs: latest devblog post for Runner3

  • Diddy Kong Racing Adventure
  • Stone Shire

Runner3

Yesterday, Choice Provisions posted the latest devblog post for Runner3. This one is from Dant, Producer and Writer, who previously worked on Destructamundo, but also most of the store descriptions, press releases, marketing text, and blog posts for the Choice Provisions site, and all of the Good Friends Character Pack videos for Runner2.

He explains that for Runner3, he’s making sure the story is extra silly. With Charles Martinet reprising his role as the narrator, there’s no doubt Runner3 will not disappoint in the story department. Unfortunately, Choice Provisions has chosen not to reveal anything about the story for now…

Diddy Kong Racing

Diddy Kong Racing first appeared on the Nintendo 64, and… never got a new entry. There was a port on Nintendo DS, but that’s it. Over the years, there has been various rumours and/or cancelled projects, and yesterday, another one was found. It turns out that Climax actually went to see Nintendo with a pitch for a game called Diddy Kong Racing Adventure for the GameCube.

Here’s the video from PtoPOnline:

Stone Shire

Yesterday, Finger Gun Games posted a blog post to announce that the update for Stone Shire (fixing the lag issue, among other things) was now available in Europe, and should be released in North America pretty soon. Quick reminder: to switch from water building to normal building mode, press the X button!
