Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is featured in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine this week, with an interview of the developers. This interview reveals that the reason they went with an update instead of a brand new game is because there wasn’t enough content in Season 3 of the anime series for one. The Story Mode odoes not feature an original protagonist this time around, which confirms it will follow the events of Season 3 closely.

It’s also confirmed that players who already played Attack on Titan 2 will be able to transfer their save data to Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle.

Next, here’s some more screenshots:

Finally, here’s the preview page from Famitsu:

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine comes out on Thursday in Japan (effectively Wednesday morning/afternoon in North America and Europe respectively).

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine will reveal Nippon Ichi Software’s next game for the Nintendo Switch: Galeria no Chika Meikyuu to Majo no Ryodan (Labyrinth of Refrain 2, English title TBC). It will be released on July 25th in Japan, and will cost 7 200 Yen. A western release is all but guaranteed, but as usual, it’s going to take a while for NIS America to make an announcement.

There will also be a Limited Edition (sold 9 200 Yen), that includes the following:

  • soundtrack CD
  • various bonuses to be revealed at a later date

The game is described more as a successor than a sequel, and shares most of the staff that worked on the first game:

  • Director, Scenario: Tatsuya Izumi
  • Character Design: Takehito Harada
  • Music: Tenpei Saito
