Daily Briefs (Jan. 19) – Shadow Puppeteer delay in Europe, Aperion Cyberstorm footage

Shadow Puppeteer

Shadow Puppeteer was supposed to be released this week in Europe, but the game is missing from the weekly Nintendo eShop PR. And there’s a good reason for that: its release was delayed. It should now come out on January 28th, which is one week later than initially planned… we have seen worse delays!

According to the developer, a proper announcement should be made pretty soon. Also, for those interested: the soundtrack is also coming soon!

Aperion Cyberstorm

Aperion Cyberstorm is a 2D sci-fi twin-stick shooter for up to 5 players, coming soon to the Nintendo eShop of the Wii U. It will offer over 200 unique areas to discover, Abilities and Elements to mix (with up to 1000 possible combinations), and more. There’s two main modes:

  • Co-operation, with over 20 different enemies to defeat
  • Competition: versus multiplayer, with 16 different maps

Yesterday, the developers uploaded a video with gameplay footage from the Campaign mode. Here it is:

Oddworld: New ‘n Tasty

The Wii U version of Oddworld: New ‘n Tasty was announced a long time ago, and many fans wondered if it hadn’t been cancelled altogether. After some minor news last year, it looks like we’re finally about to get a proper release date. On Twitter, the developers answered the question of a fan wondering how the Wii U version was coming along, and explained that they were in the “final steps”. In other words: the wait is almost over!

The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses

The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses is a series of orchestral concerts, featuring music from The Legend of Zelda series. In 2016, it will feature arrangements from the latest entry in the series: The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. New dates have been announced, and can be found on this page!

Head after the break for the rest of this post!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 2D

The Legend of Zelda series has seen plenty of fan projects across the years, ranging from brand new games using new/existing game engines, to textures packs, but also music covers, cosplay, and more. In December, the team behind the 2D “demake” of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 2D uploaded a video to show their progress.
