Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2 releasing on August 3rd in Japan

Back in September, during the Ace Attorney 15th Anniversary stage show at the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom announced that Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2 was in development. Then in January, during an event dedicated to that Anniversary, it was announced that the game was called Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Kakugo, and that it would be a Nintendo 3DS title.

We haven’t heard much about the game since, but it looks like it’s about to change soon. During the Japanese Nintendo Direct, on April 13th, it was announced that Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Kakugo would be released on August 3rd in Japan. It will cost 5 800 yen (retail) / 5 546 Yen (Nintendo eShop). We did get a little bit of new footage, but nothing too meaty unfortunately.

Here’s the segment dedicated to the game from the Nintendo Direct presentation:

For a new trailer and some gameplay footage, you will have to wait until Monday. Capcom is having a special livestream for the 15th Anniversary of the Ace Attorney series on that day, and we’re bound to get a new trailer and some gameplay footage for Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Kakugo there. Naturally, we will have a recording of all the interesting bits after the presentation!

Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Kakugo (3DS) will be released on August 3rd in Japan. Unfortunately, since Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken was never released outside Japan, it’s highly unlikely this sequel will be. The Upcoming Releases page has been updated!
