[Brief] Nintendo: redesign for the European website (desktop/mobile)

This morning, a brand new redesign for Nintendo’s official website went live in Europe. Other than the front page, the website is more or less the same, but with a definitely more modern look. There are a couple of noticeable changes however: all the categories and pages are still there, but there’s one exception… Club Nintendo (which still open until October 8th). Also, it’s not possible to log in to the website anymore.

Here’s two screencaps from the front page:

If you have a mobile device, you can also check out the new mobile website:

Unfortunately, Nintendo did not make any announcement regarding this redesign, so we don’t know if there’s any special reason behind it (other than Nintendo wanting a more modern website). Also, there is no noticeable change on the North American and Japanese website, which isn’t surprising since they are managed by Nintendo of America and Nintendo Co., Ltd respectively.

Thanks Yannick for the heads up!
