Heads up for players who were selected for the Arena of Valor Closed Beta in Europe: it starts tonight, at 12AM GMT / 1AM CET, and runs until January 29th at 12AM GMT / 1AM CET. After that, all player data will be erased, which means you will not be able to transfer anything to the final version of the game.
If you want to share your impressions and feedback, and/or keep up to date with anything Arena of Valor, make sure to check out the official Discord channel!
Arena of Valor is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) developed by Tencent Games, that was announced for the Nintendo Switch during the latest global Nintendo Direct presentation (back in September).
It was quite the surprising announcement, for several reasons: a MOBA is definitely not the kind of game you would expect on a console (they can mostly be fond on PC and mobile, for various reasons), and the fact that Tencent Games of all companies was interested in the Nintendo Switch is not something most people could have seen coming.
If you’re interested in Arena of Valor, and would like to try the game early, you can now apply for the Closed Beta… but only if you live in Europe. All you have to do is click on this link, fill up the survey, and if you’re lucky, you will be invited to the Closed Beta. Unfortunately, we don’t know when it will take place exactly, though it’s most likely going to be sometime in Early 2018 (January).
The survey itself is about Arena of Valor, but also video games in general, and of course the Nintendo Switch. Naturally, whether or not you’re accepted in the Closed Beta is most definitely not tied to the answers you provide: they’re just there for Tencent Games to get details about the kind of players interested in Arena of Valor on Nintendo Switch.
Right now, it’s not clear if and when there will be a Closed Beta for North America (or any other region), or if there will be an Open Beta.
Arena of Valor (Switch – eShop) does not have a release date yet.
