Hamster have confirmed that the latest Arcade Archives release on Nintendo Switch is Dig Dug II. It’s an action game originally developed and released on Arcade by Namco back 1985 in Japan. On Nintendo Switch, it will launch on April 13th, and as usual, it will cost 6.99€ / £6.29 / $7.99 / 838 Yen. The Japanese version will offer an English language option.

Here’s a trailer, some details, and some screenshots:

“DIG DUG II” is an action game released by NAMCO (Bandai Namco Entertainment) in 1985. In this game, you must rid an island of the familiar POOKA and FYGAR. In addition to defeating monsters by inflating them, you can now jackhammer fault lines around the island that can weaken the ground enough for it to collapse, taking enemies down into the water below. Defeat all monsters to advance to the next stage.

Arcade Archives Dig Dug II (Switch – eShop) comes out on April 13th worldwide.
