Another Code: Recollection – Overview trailer, demo, and more footage

Next month, Another Code: Recollection will be released on Nintendo Switch. First announced during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, back in September, this collection combines the two Another Code games (Another Code: Two Memories/Trace Memory, first released on Nintendo DS, and Another Code: R – A Journey Into Lost Memories, first released on Wii) into one package, complete with revamped graphics, new and updated puzzles, and more.

Today, Nintendo shared the usual overview trailer for the collection, showcasing what both games have to offer. As usual, it’s available in both English and Japanese, and we embedded both below so you can check out the voice acting in both languages!

Here’s the overview trailer for Another Code: Recollection:

Also, there’s some new footage of the game to check out. First, here’s a video showcasing various bits from both games:

If you want to try the collection for yourself, you can download a demo version from the Nintendo eShop (you can find a link to the web eShop on this page!). This demo allows you to check out the opening chapter of Ashley’s story (from Another Code: Two Memories/Trace Memory), and if you end up buying the full thing, you will be able to transfer your progress and keep playing from where the demo leaves off!

The full game includes:

  • Another Code: Two Memories – 7 chapters
  • Another Code: R – A Journey Into Lost Memories – 8 chapters

Next, some more details about the collection. As mentioned before, Another Code: Recollection includes full remakes of both Another Code: Two Memories/Trace Memory and Another Code: R – A Journey Into Lost Memories. It features a full 3D map that you can explore at will, voice acting, new and refreshed puzzles, and various other improvements. Even fans who have already played the original games will be able to enjoy this modernised take on the series!

The protagonist of both games is Ashley, a young girl trying to find out what happened to her parents. Each game takes place in a different location, and have Ashley unravel her memories of the past through a variety of riddles and puzzles.

Another Code: Two Memories

One day, Ashley receives a letter from her father, Richard, who is supposed to have died ten years ago. Ashley then heads to Blood Edward Island, which used to be the home of a wealthy family. And if you ever find yourself in a pinch (you just can’t find the solution to a puzzle, or you’re not sure where to go next), you can use the new assist features:

  • Navigation: points you towards your next destination.

Do note that both features can be toggled on/off at any time.
