As announced earlier this week, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice is showcased in Famitsu magazine this week, with the last batch of new details before launch. This time around, the focus is on the Phoenix Wright vs Apollo Justice “duel”, Simon Blackquill, and the DLC case (Turnabout Across Time). As usual, we have translations of the details courtesy of our good friends at Court Records!

Ace Attorney 6Wondering why Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice (+ Athena Cykes) are facing each other in court? It turns out it’s all because of a dispute over a certain piece of evidence. The magazine also explains that Simon Blackquill decides to go behind the defense bench as support after being summoned to court as a witness, but finding things a tad too boring from the spectator’s seat.

Right now, it’s not clear if the two incidents (the Phoenix Wright vs Apollo Justice duel and the trial Simon Blackquill is summoned to as witness are related or not).

Famitsu also provides additional details about the DLC case, Turnabout Across Time, which was introduced with a Special Court skit during a livestream a couple of weeks ago.

In this case, Larry Butz introduces Phoenix Wright to Shizuku Ootsube, a maid working in the Haguruma household who is about to become his wife. But as seen in the Special Court skit, Larry is just being Larry: he’s not the one getting married. Shizuku Ootsube is supposed to marry Raito (the blue-haired man on the 4th page).

But There’s something odd about that woman: she claims that was attacked and nearly killed right after the ceremony, but managed to travel back in time before it was too late. And now, she finds herself a suspect instead… talk about a crazy turn of events!

When they head to the scene in order to investigate this very peculiar case, Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey bump into none other than… Miles Edgeworth himself. It turns out he’s the prosecutor for that case, so they will have to face him in court. We can expect him to remain as merciless as in the previous entries…

Finally, here’s the scans from Famitsu magazine:

As a bonus, you can find the winning entries for the scene-making contest on the official website.

There’s also two previews for the drama CD, included in the Limited Editions of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice in Japan, that you will find after the break!
