Ace Attorney 6: first commercials, multi-witness system returns

Gyakuten Saiban 6On Saturday, the very first episode of Gyakuten Saiban: Sono “Shinjitsu”, Igiari! (the Ace Attorney anime series) aired in Japan (available now on Crunchyroll, with two subtitles tracks). As announced on Friday, Capcom also debuted some TV commercials for Ace Attorney 6 during the anime’s timeslot.

Those use the same format as the special Court Videos skits, and while pretty short, they do feature some actual gameplay footage. The first one showcases the main game, but without anything really new. The second is more interesting, as it not only showcases the two short stories (available as pre-order bonuses), but also confirms the return of the Multi-witness System from Dai Gaykuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken.

Right now, we don’t have many details about it: we don’t know what was (and wasn’t) changed, when and how the system will appear, how it was implemented, etc. However, there’s no doubt we will hear about that in the next article in Famitsu magazine, most likely this week!

Here’s the first commercials for Ace Attorney 6:

NB: since Capcom apparently plans to air new commercials every week, we will “update” the video regularly.

Ace Attorney 6 (3DS) comes out on June 9th in Japan. A European and North American release has already been confirmed.
