Today’s Super Mario Maker #8; TV Commercials (Japan), more

With less than month until release (September 10th in Japan, September 11th in Europe and North America), Nintendo launched Today’s Super Mario Maker last week: every day, the company is going to highlight a particular element from the game, via videos, screenshots, etc..

For today’s Super Mario Maker, Nintendo has uploaded several TV commercials, which will soon begin airing on TV in Japan. Since the game comes out in roughly two weeks, it was high time to intesify promotion for it, as it’s definitely one of the biggest releases of the year for Nintendo. After all, it’s not every year that the Super Mario Bros. series is celebrating its 30th Anniversary!

There’s two kinds of TV commercials: the first two show a player using a level editor, while the third one one is entirely made of gameplay footage. Here they are:

This morning, Animate revealed the pre-order bonus for people buying Super Mario Maker at their stores:

And in Canada, Nintendo announced the Super Mario Maker Construction Zones, a special event taking place during the Labour Day week-end, at the Ontario and Montreal Science Centres. You will not only be able to make your very own level in the game, but you will also get to make a “real” one using stickers and posters (that you can then take back home).
