Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary: an easter-egg on the JP official website

Last week, Nintendo launched the Japanese website for the 30th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series (you can find it there). The Nintendo developers, as playful as ever, put a little easter egg on the website… in the source code! If you look in there, you will be able to find an 8-bit Mario:

Other than this cool little easter egg, the website is a bit empty for the moment. There’s a short message thanking the players for 30 years of Super Mario Bros., a video for Mario Maker (than you can find below), and the Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary video shown during the Nintendo Direct last week.

But that’s not all… In Japan, a very dedicated fan has decided to celebrate the Super Mario 30th Anniversary his own way… by making a special diorama with over 14 000 toothpicks!
