Pokémon GO

A few days ago, a special event related to Grass-type Pokémon was held in Pokémon GO over the week-end. Such Pokémon became easier to find in the wild, allowing players to catch as many of them as possible.

And on Friday, Niantic shared a pretty interesting stat on Twitter: over 190 million Grass-type Pokémon were caught during this event. And it’s Team Mystic that caught the most: 116 million, to be precise!

How many Grass-type Pokémon did you catch during the event?

Magikarp Song

On Friday, The Pokémon Company uploaded the English version of the Magikarp Song, previously available only in Japanese until now:

Is that song (and more precisely the timing of its upload) related to that mysterious Splash! Magikarp game for smart devices, supposed to be released this Spring in Japan?

Pokémon TCG

According to “two people familiar with the matter”, The Pokémon Company is planning to release a new card game on smart devices. Unfortunately, the Wall Street Journal (who relayed that rumour) doesn’t give any additional details. It could simply be a Japanese version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online (PC, tablets), but we most likely will not found until another few weeks.

Thanks Armadilo for the heads up!
