One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition – Additional details, trailer, screens

Last week, leaked scans from Jump magazine revealed that One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition (an enhanced port of the console port of the Nintendo 3DS game, originally released in 2013). And as we expected, the game was officially revealed today, complete with a trailer and a few screenshots.

First, here’s the revealer trailer for the game (featuring footage from the Nintendo Switch version):

This “Deluxe” version of the game features all the content from the original versions, but also all the DLC that was released (51 quests and costumes). It can be played in co-op with 2 players, and on Nintendo Switch specifically, each player will be able to use a single Joy-Con. In other words, with just the console and the game, you can play with just about anyone, anywhere.

Bandai-Namco specifies that resolution was upped to 1080p (1920x1080p), and that the framerate has also been increased (though the publisher does not give a price number).

Finally, in the press release for the game, Bandai-Namco reveals that total shipments for the entire One Piece: Unlimited series have topped 1 million units.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition will be released on August 24th in Japan, and will cost 4 800 Yen (+ taxes), with a special introductory price for the download version (4 320 Yen + taxes until September 20th). The Nintendo Switch version will be playable at the J Hero Battle Arena Tour 2017 Summer.
