Last week, leaked scans from Jump magazine revealed that One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition (an enhanced port of the console port of the Nintendo 3DS game, originally released in 2013). And as we expected, the game was officially revealed today, complete with a trailer and a few screenshots.
First, here’s the revealer trailer for the game (featuring footage from the Nintendo Switch version):
This “Deluxe” version of the game features all the content from the original versions, but also all the DLC that was released (51 quests and costumes). It can be played in co-op with 2 players, and on Nintendo Switch specifically, each player will be able to use a single Joy-Con. In other words, with just the console and the game, you can play with just about anyone, anywhere.
Bandai-Namco specifies that resolution was upped to 1080p (1920x1080p), and that the framerate has also been increased (though the publisher does not give a price number).
Here’s some screenshots:
Finally, in the press release for the game, Bandai-Namco reveals that total shipments for the entire One Piece: Unlimited series have topped 1 million units.
