Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp – Gulliver’s Cargo Ship has arrived!

A few weeks ago, Nintendo began teasing the arrival of Gulliver in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. He clearly was not meant to be a regular Animal, that you can invite to your camping ground and befriend, which led us to believe that he was tied to some sort of event. But it turns out that he’s not: instead, he’s at the center of a new feature called Gulliver’s Cargo Ship.

But what’s Gulliver’s Cargo Ship, exactly? It’s a feature that allows you to trade extra furniture and clothing items for some snacks, by giving them to Gulliver.

Once you’ve given Gulliver a piece of furniture or clothing that you don’t need / want anymore, he loads it all onto his cargo ship, and once it’s full, he sets sail. When the ship returns, Gulliver will give you the tasty snacks as souvenirs! You can then give those snacks to animals you want to become better friends with. It looks like he will sometime come back with some new animals!

Here’s how it all works:

  • head over to Sunburst Island, and talk to Gulliver;
  • give him any piece of furniture or clothing that you don’t need anymore (NB: doing so will make them disappear from your inventory for good, so don’t just go and give things away carelessly!);
  • do so until the cargo is completely filled up, and Gullier sets sail;
  • wait until he comes back, and get the snacks from him!

NB: you can hold up to 9 999 of each type of snacks.

Finally, here’s some pictures:
