Yo-kai Watch 3 will let you create your own Jibanyan, more details and screens

Today, Level-5 revealed some new details for Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi / Tempura, ahead of the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine (coming out next week).

My Nyan

First, we learn that in Yo-kai Watch 3, you will be able to create your very own Jibanyan, thanks to a feature called My Nyan (if you thought there already were too many variants of this particular Yo-kai…).

More precisely, you can chose the appearance, the colour, the voice, and even the tribe. But there’s more: you can also chose among several sets of skills and special moves. That way, you can create your very own Jibanyan, that you will be able to bring into battle. And thanks to Teacher Jibanyan, you can strengthen the skills and special moves of your custom Yo-kai.

Zombie Night

Zombie Night is a special event that happens at night, in town. Zombies start appearing, and you have to survive until morning without being defeated by them and the zombie Yo-kai. You can actually defeat the zombies thanks to the special hammer of a certain professor…

Mystery

As mentioned before, some really strange events are occuring in town, during the USA-side of the story. You will get two meet two special agents from the FBY, who are investigating those strange events: Murder and Kakuri/Cuckly. And if you were still convinced this was an X-Files spoof, one of the screenshots below show Murder holding a mysterious “Y File”…

New elements

The screenshots and artworks below show:

• the opening animation (with a different one for each version);
• new areas, such as the Mississippi River (complete with the cruise boats!), but also Mount Rushmore. One of the screenshots below show you will be able to ride a horse, and wear cowboy clothes;
• a new “mode” for the Dream Link, with a drill-like device;
• an old man who gives you treasure maps, for you to find treasures (which require a key to open);
• a dancing mini-game for Misora Inaho, which will allow her to dance as part of the NyaKB idol unit;
• multiplayer features (battle, trading Yo-kai)
• if you link the two versions (Sushi and Tempura), you will be able to get some bonuses. You will have to play with friends and/or family members to get them;
• some “nice things” will happen if you link the game and the various toys. More details will be available in the next issue of Famitsu magazine, coming out next week.

Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi / Tempura (3DS) comes out on July 16th in Japan.
