Yo-kai Watch 3: first update available (Ver. 1.1), bonus content, more
Today, Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi Tempura, the latest entry in the extremely popular Yo-kai Watch series, was released. As usual, there’s already a Software update waiting for users, but it doesn’t add anything significant: it most likely fixes a bunch of issues found after the game went gold (which happens rather early for Nintendo 3DS games, due to the need to manufacture the cartridges).
To download it, you have several options:
- launch the game while being connected to the internet: you should get a prompt when doing so. Follow the instructions on screen;
- search for Yo-kai Watch 3 on the Nintendo eShop;
- use the Software update option in the Nintendo eShop settings.
To check that you have the latest version installed, simply launch the game: you should see Ver. 1.1 in the bottom right corner of the top screen.
Once you’ve updated, you will receive a little bonus: 5 Star Coins (which allow you to easily get a S-Rank Yo-kai). Also, please note that in order to get Sun Coins, by scanning the Jibanyan Real Ver. Yo-kai Dream Medal (the bonus that comes with early purchase tickets for the latest movie, Yo-kai Watch: Sora Tobu Kujira to Double no Sekai no Daibōken da Nyan!), you need Ver. 1.1.
Finally don’t forget to get your early purchase bonuses (available until September 16th):
- 1 Special coin (allows you to easily get a S-Rank Yo-kai)
- 1 Five Stars coin (increase your chances to get a S-Rank Yo-kai)
- 8 Gachacoins
