Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream – Welcome Version (demo) now available; get Hamster costume as bonus in full game
In less than a month, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will launch on Nintendo Switch. And ahead of that long-awaited release, Nintendo has just launched a demo version on the Nintendo eShop called Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream – Welcome Version. It’s available from the Nintendo eShop itself and via the Nintendo website.
This demo for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream allows you to try out the beginning of the game. You will be given your very own island to manage, though of course, it will be completely empty at first. It will be up to you to develop it, and populate it with Mii.

There are two ways for you to create Mii:
- either by answering a series of simple questions
- by selecting the various body parts (face, body type, etc.) yourself

In the demo version, you can create up to 3 Miis. You will then be able to have them live on your island, and watch as they go on with their daily lives. Just like the full game, the demo features various events, but apparently, those aren’t the same for all players!

Also, Nintendo has confirmed that you will be able to transfer your save data to the full version of the game when it launches, next month. That way, you will be able to keep caring and looking after the Mii you created in the demo.
And that’s not all! If you do transfer your save data from Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream – Welcome Version to the full version of the game, you will get a little bonus: a Hamster Costume set (one of six colours, selected at random).
But don’t worry on missing out: the costume set will also be available in the full version of the game for all players (you will simply need to unlock it yourself).

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (Switch) comes out on April 16th worldwide.
