Key Fixes in the Mechanic Patch
- Fixes softlock in Cycle 12 Arwin conversation where option pointed to nothing, stopping the player from progressing.
- Fixes issue that preventEd players from accepting their story and progressing beyond the Scanner in Cycle 15 if they first asked Arwin about their performance.
- Changes Garden Achievement to unlock when all seeds have been planted, rather than when all plants have reached maturity.
- Updates Scanner map to better reflect which characters are in which rooms on any given cycle; also fixes input related bugs that were affecting the map user experience.
- Fixes Readership and Reputation achievement unlocks in final Cycle. Players with high numbers in both were receiving achievements for doing badly.
- Adds background audio missing from Toy Recall mission.
- Fixes lost sprite reference when loading saves.
- Updates conditionals in Copybot conversations that were preventing players from romancing them.
- Updates Arwin’s Cycle 7 conversation so players now can hear about the story assignments before committing to one.
- Fixes issue with Billy’s collider in Cycle 17. It should no longer be possible to trigger his conversation manually before the proximity trigger fires.
- Fixes Copybot ending collider with similar issue to Billy’s.
Other Fixes in Mechanic Patch
- Updates SFX playback method to detach it from animations for easier polish in future updates
- Sets Humania to the correct size in story intro animation
- Polishes text in several story builder elements, notably in Cycle 10

How to download updates for Times & Galaxy for the Nintendo Switch?
To download the updates for Times & Galaxy, you have three options:
- let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off
If not…
- try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;
OR
- select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.
To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
