[TGS 15] Monster Hunter X: trailer for the Nyanter Mode

Monster Hunter XOn the first day of the Tokyo Game Show 2015, Capcom revealed a surprising feature for Monster Hunter X: the Nyanter Mode (Nya –Meow in Japanese– + Hunter). Basically, it allows you to play as a Felyne instead of a human hunter, which is a first for the series.

Capcom already revealed some screenshots and a gameplay video for it, but it’s only today that an official trailer for the Nyanter Mode was uploaded. It shows how you can switch from hunter to Nyanter, but also how quests work in this mode. If you’re playing solo, you can be accompanied by two Palicoes, and if you’re playing with friends or random players, they can join you either as Hunters or Nyanters!

The trailer also shows how you attack with your staff (or your boomerang), move underground like a mole, but also use various support items such as a trampoline (to jump on the back of monsters), traps, and more. Of course, as a Nyanter, you can also go fishing, catch bugs, and do various things you would normally do as a human hunter.

Here’s the trailer for the Nyanter Mode in Monster Hunter X:

Monster Hunter X (3DS) comes out on November 28th in Japan.
