TASaturday #24 – Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising (GameBoy Advance)

For the TASaturday #24, we picked up Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, which originally came out on GameBoy Advance. One of the reasons we chose this game is because it came out this week on the Wii U Virtual Console service in North America (and has been available in Europe for a few weeks already).

Another reason we picked up Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising is because it’s a strategy game, a genre we never covered before in this feature. Therefore, the whole experience should be refreshing to you if you’ve been watching the Tool Assisted Speedruns we’ve posted (almost) every week for the past few months.

In this Tool Assisted Speedrun, the author may be using the usual TAS tools, they still needed to devise careful strategies in order to win the battles in the game. Of course, there’s quite a bit of luck manipulation, which is quite helpful in a strategy game. Finally, one of the most impressive aspects of this TAS is definitely the speed at which the cursor moves!
