Nintendo in France

In a statement shared with Le Figaro, Nintendo revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has now sold over 1 million units at retail in France. As for the Nintendo Switch itself, it’s doing exceedingly well: it’s approaching the 8 million units milestone, which should be reached by the end of January 2024. The only console to have sold better (so far) is the Nintendo DS!

Suika Game

During a press conference, Aladdin X shared some more details about the sales of its surprise mega-hit, Suika Game. As of October 30th, the game has sold 3,022,196 units, with 2,770,000 units in Japan and 230,00 units in the rest of the world.

And to get an idea of how explosive sales have been, here’s how long it took for the game to reach each sales milestone:

during the first 636 days, the game only sold 2,351 units (as of September 7th, just before the game went viral)
it took only 52 days after that for the game to sell over 3 million units
it took 667 days for the game to sell over 1 million units…
… but only 12 more days for it to sell over 2 million units…
… and only 11 more days for it to sell over 3 million units.

Suika Game has been featured in no less than 7 TV programmes in Japan, but also 300 media articles, 450 livestreams, and over 1.37 million posts on Twitter.

Koei-Tecmo

Koei-Tecmo have shared their financial results for the first half of the current Fiscal Year (April 1st to September 30th 2023). And among all the financial data, there’s shipments data for a few recent games to be found:

Fate/Samurai Remnant – 250.000 units shipped worldwide
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening – 150.000 units shipped worldwide
Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg – 110.000 units shipped worldwide

Senren * Banka

Yuzusoft has announced that their romance Visual Novel, Senren * Banka, has sold over 400,000 units worldwide. That number includes sales of all versions across all platforms (including the Adult-only one on PC), though no breakdown is provided.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag

On the 10th Anniversary of the game (October 29th), Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag has been played by over 34 million players worldwide, across all platforms.
