  • Added Van Ein recruitment area mission: “The Crossover Door Unlocked”

    • This area mission is included in the Expansion Pack.
    • This area mission is available even to players who have not purchased the Expansion Pack.
    • Only Chapter 1: “The Door Opens” is available to players who have not purchased the Expansion Pack. Subsequent area missions will be unavailable.
    • Clearing expansion area mission 1, “The Door Opens”, will NOT give you access to any new units or pilots.
    • Upon clearing expansion area mission 1, “The Door Opens”, new pilots featured in the mission will be added to the Library, but their robots will not be added.
  • The following limited release missions have been unlocked:

  • Celebrating the Series Sales of 19 Million Copies Special Area Mission – “Congratulations on 19 million!”
  • DLC 2 Area Mission: Episode 1 – “Unknown Battlefield”
  • Game Mode “Super Expert Mode”
  • Raise the upper limit of strengthening
    • Pilot Level: Maximum increased from Level 99 to Level 200
    • Pilot Stats: Maximum increased from 400 to 999
    • Unit & Weapon Upgrade Level: Maximum value is +5
    • Pilot’s Special Skills: Addition of EX Skills
  • Correction of some texts and other improvements
    • When Red 5 gains an extra power part slot from AOS Update, it loses 1 slot, and the item assigned to that slot cannot be reassigned.
    • On the power parts screen unit list, Izuru’s level and SP are displayed as -1.
    • Red 5 sometimes isn’t shown in the list of available launch units in missions.

  • Fixed an issue causing the Red Five not to appear in the list of mechas
  • You can now change the name of the protagonist at any time.
    • You can change the protagonist’s name at any time by going to Options > System > Change Protagonist Name during Strategy Phases

Super Robot Wars 30 – Ver. 1.0.4

  • Release date: November 17th 2021 (Japan)
  • Patch notes:
  • Adds Area Mission Acquire Gespenst “Black Specter”
  • Adds 30th Anniversary Special Area Mission “Happy 30th Anniversary!”
  • DLC1 Area Mission: Episode 1 “Visitors”
    • This mission is included in DLC1.
    • This mission can be played even by players who haven’t purchased the DLC. However, those who haven’t purchased it will have the music replaced by original music from the game.
    • Players who haven’t purchased the DLC can only play the first mission. Subsequent missions are not available.
    • No new mechas or pilots will be added to your units when you clear the first mission.
    • If you clear the first mission, the new pilots who appear in it will be added to the Picture Book, but their mecha will not.
  • Adds “DLC Extra Credits” to the System Menu

Super Robot Wars 30 – Ver. 1.0.3

  • Adds option to transfer save data from the Demo version

  • Fixed issue preventing the use of Kanji for the name of the protagonist and troops
    • The option to change the name of the protagonist from save data transferred from the demo version will be added at a later date

How to download updates for Super Robot Wars 30 for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Super Robot Wars 30, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
