Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns – Details and screens for the relationships
Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns comes out in a few hours in Japan (via the Nintendo eShop, a couple of hours before stores open), and today, Marvelous has shared more details and screenshots for it. It looks like we’re getting daily recaps of the main features of the game this week, and today is all about relationships.
Relationships have three stages:
- Once you’ve found someone you’re interested in, you start by talking to them. You do so every day, in order to increase your affinity with them. You can also give them gifts, but make sure you do some research beforehand. Indeed, gifts can raise your affinity, but they can also lower it if you give something your love candidate doesn’t like.
- Once your relationship is deep enough, you can confess your feelings using the Pendant (a special item that’s required to move to the next step of a relationship). Once you’re lovers, you can enjoy more intimate conversations with your partner, but also special event scenes. By the way, you can see how deep your relationship is with someone by checking out the colour of the flower on the text box (next to the character’s name).
- Finally, once your relationship has progressed even further, it’s time to propose. Once you’re married, you go live together in your farm, and you can even have children. But in order to propose, you need a specific item (which varies depending on the village your lover is from). There’s also several types of marriages, again depending on the village.
Here’s the three items you can use when you want to propose:
- Westown: Engagement Ring
- Tsuyukusa Village: Comb
- Lulucoco Village: Blue Feather
