Splatoon Summer Testfire 2016
Today, its its PR for gamescom, Nintendo announced that the Splatoon Summer Testfire 2016 would take place from August 18th to September 21st. During that period, the Splatoon Global Testfire demo will be playable online, allowing players to try out the game in 4 vs 4 matches.
If you are yet to try out Splatoon, this is a great opportunity for you to do so!

Splatoon Summer Splatdown – North America
Yesterday, Nintendo announced that the Splatoon Summer Splatdown would take place from August 25th to August 28th, but only during two hours each day (unlike in Europen where the demo remains playable all day long).
The play times are as follows:
- North America (EST): 6PM to 8PM
- North America (PST): 3PM to 5PM
- Europe: 12PM to 2AM (from August 26th to August 29th)
- UK: 11PM to 1AM
- Japan: 5AM to 7AM (from August 26th to August 29th)

Splatoon Showdown
During the ESL’s Splatoon Showdown tournament, several teams competed to find out who was the freshest in Europe. After several weeks of competition, there’s only four teams that remain. They will fight to the death compete during the final on August 17th, on the Beta stage of the ESL arena in Hall 9 (at gamescom). Hisashi Nogami, Splatoon Producer, will be there to say a few words before the matches start.
The final will be livestreamed on Twitch, from:
- Europe: 3PM
- UK: 2PM
- North America (EST): 9AM
- North America (PST): 6AM
- Japan: 10PM
