Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice delayed to 2016
Ever since its announcement, back in June, we didn’t hear much about Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice. The game was confirmed for Japan a couple of days later, but that’s pretty much it. But it looks like there’s a good reason we haven’t heard about the game for several months in a row: it has been delayed to 2016. Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice was originally supposed to come out in time for the Holiday period.
In a blog post published yesterday evening, SEGA explained that this delay was necessary to “make sure the game has the time and polish needed”. It looks like the company learned its lesson from the Sonic Boom debacle last year, and since the Sonic Boom TV series is actually pretty popular, it would definitely be a shame if this sequel couldn’t take advantage of that popularity.
Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice (3DS) comes out in 2016, worldwide.
