Rudymical (Legend of Dark Witch rhythm game) releasing this week on Nintendo Switch (Europe)

Remember Rudymical, the rhythm mini-game from The Legend of Dark Witch 2? It received an enhanced stand-alone release on smart devices last year, and that port is actually releasing on the Nintendo Switch this week (on May 11th) as Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical!

The gameplay is pretty simple (maybe too simple for hardcore fans of rhythm games): you have to press the buttons with the right timing to slash Boing Boings, and jump to avoid fire attacks.

Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical offers several game modes:

  • Story Mode, with various bosses to defeat
  • VS Mode to battle against your friends
  • Co-Op Mode

Unfortunately, we don’t know if there is any extra content for this Nintendo Switch version.

For those who are curious, here’s the trailer for the smart device version:

The product page reveals that Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical will be playable in English, but also Japanese, and Chinese. Only the European release has been confirmed so far, but it’s highly likely that the game will be released in North America and Japan on the same day as Europe.

Finally, here’s the main features and some screenshots:

  • High quality graphics true to the original Dark Witch Story
  • Original music composed by Raito
  • Beautiful illustrations

Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical (Switch – eShop) will be released on May 11th in Europe. The Upcoming Releases page and the Nintendo eShop line-up (Europe) have been updated!
