RPG Maker Fes will let you save up to 16 RPGs, edit variables, and more (+ screens)

Announced a few weeks ago in Famitsu magazine, RPG Maker Fes is the latest entry in the RPG Maker series, and it’s for the Nintendo 3DS. For those who don’t know, RPG Maker is a software that allows you to create your very own RPGs, and is more deep than one might think at first.

Today, Kadokawa shared some more details for the game, and confirmed that it would use the SD Card. This will allow you to make some pretty sizeable games, but also to have up to 16 RPGs at once. Obviously, it’s unlikely that you’re going to develop them all in parallel: what that means is that you will not have to delete your previous RPGs before making a new one, at least not until you’ve made 16 of them.

In RPG Maker Fes, you can do more than just create a world: you can also edit various parameters and variables. Monsters, events, weapons, armor, items, abilities: you can edit pretty much everything in the game.

Kadokawa also mentions RPG Maker Fes Player, a free downloadable app that lets you play RPGs created by other players even if you don’t own RPG Maker Fes. If you do, you will also be able to upload your creations online, to share them with other players.

Here’s some screenshots for the game, along with some illustrations of the pre-set characters and enemies:

RPG Maker Fes (3DS) and RPG Maker Fes Player (3DS eShop) will be released on November 24th in Japan.
