Pokkén Tournament: Locatests to be held at Dave & Busters in the US
Pokkén Tournament was launched last week in Japan, on July 16th, but we still haven’t heard anything concrete about a launch outside Japan. Back when the game was revealed, The Pokémon Company did release a trailer in English, but didn’t give any details. And today, Kevin Bachus (Dave & Buster’s Senior VP) confirmed that the Arcade game would be launched in the United States in the future.
During an AMA session on Reddit, Kevin Bachus confirmed that locatests for Pokkén Tournament would be held at unspecified Dave & Busters locations in the United States:
Yes. We will be testing Pokken. Candidly both NAMCO and I are more optimistic about that title and our typical guests than Tekken.
Unfortunately, it looks like we are going to wait a bit before getting more details. It’s quite likely The Pokémon Company will make an announcement when the game is ready to be launched.
For those who don’t know, Dave & Busters is a chain of restaurants, with each location having a restaurant and a video arcade. It’s one of the places where you could head to if you’re interested in trying out Mario Kart Arcade GP Deluxe, for example!
