Pokémon Café

Distributions

The Pokémon Company have announced two distributions for Pokémon Sword and Shield at Pokémon Center stores across Japan:

  • a set of 5 types of Curry Ingredients + 1 bonus item, via Mystery Gift (1 set per day). You need to bring your own console and copy of the game (retail or digital, needs to be up to date). From November 15th and until an unspecified date;
  • a Serial Code for either Pikachu or Eevee. You get the Serial Code during your birthday month (only one per person, which means you cannot get both). You need to bring your own console and copy of the game (retail or digital, needs to be up to date), but also an official document showing your date of birth. From November 15th and until an unspecified date.

Pokémon booklet

The Pokémon Company have partnered with Famitsu in order to release a special promotional booklet called “Kimi ga asonda no wa dono pokemon?” (lit. “Which Pokémon games have you played?”). It’s available for free in video game stores across Japan, but also online (see links below). It offers a retrospective of the mainline Pokémon series, and also contains some details about Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Pokémon Center Shibuya x Nintendo Tokyo

Both Pokémon Center Shibuya and Nintendo Tokyo open on November 22nd, and so Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have unveiled a special set of merchandise called Pokémon x Super Mario 8 Bit Scramble:

  • Pokémon Center Shibuya will sell Super Mario merchandise with illustrations created using pictures from the original Pokémon games
  • Nintendo Tokyo will set Pokémon merchandise with illustrations created using pictures from Super Mario Bros.
