New features and changes

During the Pokémon GO Fest livestream, Niantic made some announcements regarding upcoming changes and new features:

the Level Cap will be raised soon. It’s currently set at Lvl. 40, but soon, players will be able to go beyond that;
announced a few of weeks ago during the Pokémon Presents presentation, Mega Evolution is coming to Pokémon GO. Niantic have confirmed that the Pokémon you have already caught will be able to Mega Evolve.
