Pokémon Duel

The latest Gym Cup event is the  Poison Gym Cup, and it went live yesterday. Here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Runs from January 18th to January 24th
  • Poison-type Movement 0, 1, and 2 figures = +1 Movement;
  • Psychic-type figures = +20 Attack (for each attack);
  • Gym Boosters available, with the contents increasing with your winning streak. Said boosters have to be redeemed before January 29th
  • Alolan Grimer figure available as reward
  • Trophies will be distributed to qualifying players after the event.

Also, it’s been recently announced that Pokémon Duel has already been downloaded over 30 million times worldwide: a nice performance!

And to celebrate the first Anniversary of the game outside Japan, the following are now available:

  • a Deoxys Normal Forme (EX rarity) as Log-in Bonus (until January 31st);
  • Monthly Loyalty Rewards (normally available only to those who purchased 1,500 points worth or more of Gems and other items) are now available to everyone, for a limited time. You can take advantage of those to get two [UC] Ingots, two [UC] Rare Metals, and four Carmonite as Extra Log-In Bonuses, and a Fulfillment Bonus of an [EX] Cube;
  • discount on Gems: 360 Gems for $3.99 or 876 Gems for $7.99 (80% off), also available until January 31st.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Online Competition (2018 International Challenge January)

Yesterday, registration for the second online competition for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon went live. It’s called 2018 International Challenge January, and here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Pokémon allowed: Pokémon caught, traded, hatched from Eggs, or received as a Mystery Gift in Pokémon Ultra Sun, Pokémon Ultra Moon, Pokémon Sun, or Pokémon Moon;
  • Pokémon banned: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna, Marshadow, and Ash-Greninja;
  • Battles: Double Battles, Team of 6 Pokémon and 4 sent to battle
  • Level: 50 (dropped to 50 if above)
  • Items: all allowed, but two Pokémon cannot have the same Hold Item
  • Participation prize: 50 Battle Points (need to battle at least once), Championship Points (top players only)
  • Registration: January 18th to January 25th
  • Battles: January 26th to January 29th
  • Results announced sometime in February

Pokkén Tournament DX

Today, the latest Official Group Match went live in Pokkén Tournament DX. It’s called the Dynamic Fury, and it takes places from January 19th to January 22nd. It’s a Team Battle competition, on a Fixed Battle Arena. As usual, you get a special title as a reward simply for participating (it’s based on Machamp), but you can get others if you get a high enough rank.
